LATEST | Canucks announce interesting line change: Mixing things up
The 9th different face of the year will appear on the Canucks' blueline tonight against the Anaheim Ducks.
22 year old Cole McWard will draw into the lineup for Vancouver for the first time in 2023-24, taking the place of Mark Friedman.
McWard played 5 games with the NHL club last year and added a goal, this season in AHL Abbotsford he's put up 4 points in 15 games and leads the team's defencemen in plus/minus and shots on goal.
McWard received a call up last week alongside Nils Åman, who has since featured in two games.
It's unclear who McWard will line up beside for his debut tonight, the defenceman played primarily with Quinn Hughes and Ian Cole in the pre-season.
The puck drops in Vancouver at 7 PM PST.
