LATEST | Canucks issue an official release regarding Elias Pettersson
Elias Pettersson came to Vancouver this year ready to make a statement. He's coming here with the firm intention of proving he belongs to this league's elite, and his first five games weren't showing anything else.
BOUND TO MAKE HISTORY AGAIN
Pettey entered the Canucks' history books on Saturday when he registered once again two points. He became the 6th player in franchise history to record 10 points in 5 games or less; in today's well-structured NHL, that's extremely impressive.
The Canucks issued a statement acknowledging his outstanding performances:
''A start for the record books.''
The Swede had the best season we've seen in years in Vancouver last year, and now negotiating a new contract, he is ready to set new highs. How much better can he get? How much of a difference can he make? At 24 years old, it's easy to think we have yet to see his best.
