LATEST | Canucks make an exciting announcement: Excellent news for the fans
The Vancouver Canucks have announced the hiring of a face the fan base has become pretty familiar with over the years.
On Friday, the team revealed that Chris Faber has been hired as their first-ever Senior Hockey Writer, a role he'll begin on Monday, November 6th.
"Chris' enthusiasm for this role, coupled with his understanding of the types of stories that he believes our fans are looking for, make him a perfect complement to our team," said Michael Doyle, President Canucks Sports & Entertainment, Business Operations. "Our audiences are diverse, at different points in their hockey journey, and looking to learn more about our players, our prospects and how you build a winning organization. Chris is a sports journalism swiss-army knife, capable of so many different things, and with this addition, we will help all our fans get even closer to their team."
Faber, 30, announced earlier this week that he was leaving Canucks Army as a senior writer and senior content creator, a job he held since 2019. A year before joining Canucks Army, Faber began the podcast 'Canucks Conversation' and provided plenty of insight to the fan base about the team ever since.
Faber now joins fellow writers Kate Pettersen and Lindsey Horsting, who were hired by the Canucks this year.
Fans of the Vancouver Canucks are certainly in for a treat with having Chris Faber behind-the-scenes and providing coverage of the team from an in-house perspective.
From everyone here at Canucks Daily, congratulations to Chris Faber on his new role, which is well-deserved!
