Frank Seravalli joined the Sekeres and Price show on Wednesday. Seravalli spoke about the "noise" coming from a potential Garland trade.

Seravalli says, "...This term (Garland's) being a hugely problematic factor for the Canucks...unless you find a partner with that has a deal of equal term...0r else, you're gonna have to attach a significant asset."

This is the challenge for the Canucks GM, Patrik Allvin. Garland is in the third year of a five-year deal worth $24,750,000 and a cap hit of $4,950,000.

Unfortunately, Garland has not had the production to warrant such a contract. In his two seasons with the Canucks, Garland has put up solid numbers scoring 98 points in 159 games but has been inconsistent at times.

The Canucks must be creative to turn a Garland trade into a beneficial move. We will see how Allvin handles it.
