The Flames and the Oilers were meeting today for the Heritage Classic. Kevin Bieksa was covering the event and interviewed the former Canuck Chris Tanev, and the two shared quite the moment.

LOOKING BACK ON A HECK OF AN EVENT

At that point, the Canucks had chosen not to start their star netminder Roberto Luongo and it created a fiasco leading up to pretty much the whole team getting traded away.

Tanev reminded Bieksa that things were a lot different this time in Calgary, but how things are going so far and with another loss to their record. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Flames chose to go on a fire sale:

"Lou (Roberto Luongo) didn't start and then got traded, and then I think everyone else got traded after. The vibes here are a lot better than the one we played in actually being outside"

The Flames took another loss as the Oilers skated away with a 5-2 win. Many analysts believed the Flames were on the right track, but with a 2-6-1 record, holding the 7th rank in the Pacific Division, it isn't looking good.
