The team's hot start, the overall atmosphere around the team may have convinced the superstar that a long-term commitment to the city and its fans is only positive.
PETTERSSON LOOKING AT $100M
Frank Seravalli dropped à bombshell today regarding Pettey extension talks and revealed that the only way the Canucks could get him to ink an 8-year-deal, was if they made an offer that started with a $12.5M cap hit, at the very least.
Over the span of 8 years, it sums up to $100M. Not only would it be the biggest deal in Franchise History, but one of the biggest ever signed in the League:
'Frank Seravalli says if Petey is going 8 years he can't see it being lower than 12.5M AAV 👀''
Elias Pettersson has been an absolute beast last year and he's been keeping it going this year. Along with Quinn Hughes and J.T. Miller, he's been leading the league in point with now 26 in 17.
