Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes lands at number two on TSN's list, only behind British Columbia native and Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard.
Hughes has had an incredible start to the 2023-24 season and has certainly earned his spot on TSN's list, especially given he has a bright future ahead of him in Vancouver. So far this season, Hughes leads the entire National Hockey League in points with 30 and is definitely the front-runner for the Norris Trophy and should be in consideration for the Hart Trophy as well.
The second member of the Vancouver Canucks organization on TSN's list is 2023 first-round pick Tom Willander, who is currently playing in the NCAA at Boston University.
Willander landed in the 45th spot on TSN's list, ahead of players including San Jose Sharks forward William Eklund, Nashville Predators goaltending prospect Jaroslav Askarov and Calgary Flames prospect Matthew Coronato.
The 18-year-old Stockholm native has appeared in 11 games for Boston University so far this season, putting up seven points (two goals, five assists), four penalty minutes and is a plus-ten.
Tom Willander is an exciting prospect and given his talent, it's not surprising at all to see him on TSN's list in 2023. It's unclear when Willander will make the jump to professional hockey within the Canucks organization, or when he'll making his NHL debut, but there's no doubt that he's going to be an important piece for the future.
