MAJOR | Jonathan Lekkerimaki putting on a challenge for Canucks' top prospect: Highlighting his oustanding season debut
The Canucks took a swing in the 2022 Draft when they selected the Swede, Jonathan Lekkerimaki. The 15th overall struggled in his draft +1 season, but since the 2023 playoffs, he's been making a case to be identified as the Canucks' top prospect.
The winger was phenomenal in his team's playoff run when they ultimately lost in the finals and it hasn't stopped since then. The forward signed with Obrero in Sweden's top league the SHL. He showed that he took a huge step in the pre-season, but it he's still very hot after the first two games.

Lekkerimaki went through a rough patch last season in the Allsvenkan, he had 9 points in 29 games. The Swede has drawn multiples comparisons to the Leafs' star William Nylander and we're starting to see why.
