The Vancouver Canucks are looking to get back int he win column as they suffered a major 7-3 blowout against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. With a few days off to shuffle their lineups, work in practice and make key roster changes, they now get ready to face off this evening against the team that handed them their first loss of the season.
With the team deciding to part ways with forward Daniel Sprong, and Dakota Joshua not ready to return tot heir lineup, The biggest story line heading into this matchup is the Canucks top prospect Jonathan Lekkerimaki.
The 20-year-old Swede has finally got his named called to make his NHL debut tonight after having an insanely strong start to the season with the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL.
The "yo-yo" boy, Arshdeep Bains has also been recalled with the injury to Brock Boeser still sidelining him.
Even with Arturs Silovs getting sent down for an assignment and Kevin Lankinen having his worst start of the season against the Oilers, head coach Rick Tocchet
has decided to keep riding the hot hand and go back to Lankinen.
