After just returning back to the lineup from a leave of absence, Vancouver Canucks Defenseman Derek Forbort seemed to be shaken at practice today, leaving with an apparent lower body injury.

Forbort has not even gotten 2 games under his belt since returning to the team since losing his father and now he can be looking at missing more time. He announced earlier in the month he was leaving the team for personal reasons, and after taking time to heal and be with family, he was ready to return to the ice.

Vancouver Canucks & NHL reporter for The Athletic NHL, Harman Dayal attended the practice, as he normally does, to gather information on the potential lines and changes with the team. He reported that during a drill, D-man Forbort seem to have been hurt as he was holding his leg as he left the ice leaving practice early.

There have been no further updates regarding what is the extent of the injury is, but obviously everyone is hoping it is minor and that he will return with out any issues.

This season, he has been a fringe starter, he has 1 assist in 4 games so far and is constantly competing in practice with the likes on Noah Juulsen and Carson Soucy for the last spot on the 3rd D-pairing.
