Just a week after 20-year-old Vancouver Canucks goalie prospect Ty Young was sent down to the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL from AHL Abbottsford, he absolutely dominated to secure his first ever professional win in his professional debut.

As the Kalamazoo Wings of the East Coast Hockey League took on the Cincinnati Cyclones this afternoon (October 27th), Ty Young finally go his first win as a pro hockey goalie where he really showed out, stopping 38 out of 39 shots faced.

His pro debut and win came on the famous 'Orange Ice Game,' where the Kalamazoo Wings play a regular season game on ice that is all-orange Halloween-themed.

If your first professional game - and win - wasn't already memorable, doing so on an all-orange ice surface will certainly engrain it into your memory/

Canucks send down Ty Young to the ECHL Kalamazoo Wings

The 20-year-old netminder played last season in the WHL for the Prince George Cougars, but when turning pro, he was hoping to get his shot in the American Hockey League (AHL). But, due to the crowded nature of the crease in the AHL with two competent goalies, the team decided to send down Young to 'The Coast' to get more reps and opportunities.

Congratulations on the big win Ty Young!
