Vancouver will be back on the ice tonight as they open the 2024 Young Stars Classic in Penticton, British Columbia against the Edmonton Oilers. It should be an entertaining weekend for Canucks fans as they'll get an up-close look at some of their top prospects including Jonathan Lekkerimaki, Aatu Raty and Elias Pettersson.
The Canucks took to the ice for their morning skate and we got a look at what tonight's lines could be for the opener against the Oilers, thanks to Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 radio. Tonight's starting goaltender is still to be determined.
Here are what the lines could look like for tonight's game:
Forwards
Bains-Raty-Lekkerimaki.
Klimovich-Sasson-Patterson
Bloom-Mueller-Glover
Halaburda-Walker-McMillan
Defencemen
Pettersson-Kudryavtsev

Extras: Vilmer Alriksson, Anthony Romani, Basile Sansonnens, Sawyer Mynio.
Afterwards, Batchelor shared an update on who will be scratched for tonight's game and while Vilmer Alriksson and Anthony Romani weren't involved in initial line rushes, it appears that they will draw in tonight. Ty Halaburda and Deagan McMillan will be scratched.
