Dakota Joshua receives horrifying diagnosis: Canucks issue a statement
As if the Canucks didn't already had enough to deal with Thatcher Demko on the sidelines, things just got a lot worse.
Via the Vancouver Canucks social media, Dakota Joshua shared the type of news you never wish to learn. A horrifying diagnosis struck the Canucks number 81 and he'll be on the sidelines for the team's training camp and most likely miss the beginnng of the regular season.
The good news is that the doctors were able to take care of the issue in the early stages and he had a successful surgery that took care of it.
Following a career year during which he scored 18 goals and collected 32 points through 63 games, Joshua added 8 points in 13 playoff contest. His contribution was enough for the Canucks to reward him with a $13M contract.
Given the recent news, his return will have to wait since his health has become his priority. The whole Canucks Daily team wishes nothing but best as he recovers, we're hopeful he'll be back in no time and we'll keep you posted with the most recent updates.
