Following what was a heavy tilt between New Jersey Devils forward Erik Haula and Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland, his gesture after the fight was a little classless to the say the least.

In last nights blowout shutout loss to the New Jersey Devils, Vancouver Canucks forward Conor garland tried to make a an impact on the game in a different manner, using his fists. The fight most likely came out of pure frustration from Garland, as the Canucks failed to get any momentum offensively.

Off the draw in the second period, in the midst of a three goal period by the Devils, Garland must of challenged Haula to a fight, and he obviously obliged. Unfortunately for Garland, Haula got the best of the fight, feeding him punch after punch until a takedown ended it.

Haula was voted the winner with a landslide 85% of the votes on HockeyFights.com. You can watch the tilt here.

After the fight concluded, and holding a large 3 goal lead, Haula decided to blow a kiss to the Vancouver Canucks crowd in celebration of his win. It came across as a classless move by the 33-year-old center. His team was already holding a substantial lead, and that he acted as if he beat a heavy weight like Ryan Reaves or Matt Rempe.

Garland stands at around 5'8, and to celebrate a hockey fight win against him, in that situation, just seems like a ridiculous and unsportsmanlike thing to do. He should try those shenanigans against a real fighter in the NHL and see what happens.
