In Lindholm's defense, he spent five full seasons as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes, and five-plus as a member of the Calgary Flames. He had ample time to grow accustomed to the playing style and systems of his former clubs, perhaps that acclimation has simply yet to happen with Vancouver.
A listener of the Sekeres & Price Podcast pointed out several signs pointing towards an optimistic future for Lindholm and the Canucks, alluding to his unfamiliarity with the system as a new acquisition:
