Positive News from Insider as Vancouver Canucks Superstar J.T. Miller Makes Big Step Forward
An insider has given a positive update regarding Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller after taking a leave of absence for personal reasons.
Since November 19th, the Vancouver Canucks have been without star forward J.T. Miller after he took a leave of absence for personal reasons.
There hasn't been much information on when J.T. Miller could be back with the Vancouver Canucks, which is understandable given that the team wants him to take his time and take a step back to breathe and reset.
However on Thursday, Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie & Dhali gave a pretty big and positive update on J.T. Miller.
Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller reportedly back on the ice
During Thursday's edition of Donnie & Dhali, Rick Dhaliwal said that J.T. Miller is back on the ice skating for the first time since leaving the club last month.
"So I've been asked a lot in the last 24 hours if J.T.'s going to play against Columbus tomorrow. The feeling was the road trip is going to be over and J.T. is going to play against Columbus. We will know when J.T.'s going to play when he shows up practice. Practice is today at 11:30 am PT for the Canucks. We will wait and watch." Dhaliwal said.
He added, "What I can tell you is that J.T. Miller is skating this week on his own, I believe with Jason Krog, who is the skills guy. So that is a good sign. J.T. Miller was on the ice yesterday. J.T. Miller is back in that mood of get working out skating. People are asking 'is he going to play against Columbus?', I don't know the answer to that. We'll have a better feel, Rick Tocchet you know is gonna get grilled about J.T. Miller today."
Miller, 30, has appeared in 17 games for the Vancouver Canucks this season where he's registered 16 points (six goals, ten assists), nine penalty minutes and is a plus-one.
Whenever J.T. Miller returns to the Vancouver Canucks, whether it's tomorrow against Columbus or later on the homestand, it's going to be a big morale boost for the club because of how important he is and how well liked he is in the dressing room.
We'll have to wait and see later today or tomorrow if J.T. Miller is going to play against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but if so, it'll give the Canucks a massive offensive boost.
