Vancouver Canucks injured goalie Thatcher Demko has been spotted partaking as a full member at practice today ahead of their important interdivisional faceoff against the New Jersey Devils on Monday.

Tocchet on Demko: "He's starting to feel pretty good, so we'll see what happens.

Thatcher Demko close to returning to Vancouver Canucks action

Demko's luck this past season has been anything but positive.
The Vancouver Canucks started the season without their Vezina caliber netminder due to an almost career ending injury suffered during the first-round of last years Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Now, they have been with out since February 8th, after suffering a undisclosed lower-body injury that evidently placed him on the Canucks long-term injury reserve on Feb 23rd.
As stated, today was not all bad news as it was the first time in a better part of a month that Demko participated in a full practice, a very positive sign after only appearing in 17 games this season.

With Kevin Lankinen not playing his best hockey right now in a time they need too in order to secure a ticket to the dance this post-season, the Canucks will not be "easing" him back into games when he is ready, something they did all year long.
When Demko has returned from previous injuries this season, the Canucks have eased him back, letting him backup before starting. It doesn't appear they'll do the same this time as there are so few games remaining. - Noah Strang

With that being said, there is no confirmation for when his first start is scheduled to be, but it is clear that Demko is one step closer to returning.
