The Vancouver Canucks are preparing for Saturday night's clash with Nikita Zadorov and the Boston Bruins as they continue their six-game homestand at Rogers Arena.

So far on the homestand, Rick Tocchet's group has a 2-1-1 record with wins coming against the Columbus Blue Jackets last Friday and a shutout victory last night against the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers.

As the Canucks look to keep rolling, the team has made some roster moves ahead of tomorrow's game against the Boston Bruins.

Vancouver Canucks assign 3 players to Abbotsford of the AHL

In a social media post on Friday afternoon, the Vancouver Canucks announced that they've sent Aatu Raty, Max Sasson and Mark Friedman down to the American Hockey League's Abbotsford Canucks.

"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Mark Friedman, F Aatu Räty and F Max Sasson have been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL)." the Canucks said.

As we've seen all season long with the Vancouver Canucks, this is more than likely just a paper transaction to help the team accrue cap space that they can use to acquire players at the National Hockey League's trade deadline on Friday, March 7th.

Aatu Raty, Max Sasson and Mark Friedman will all likely be called back up by the Canucks at some point on Saturday morning or early afternoon.

Raty, 22, has appeared in 20 games for Vancouver this season where he's put up four points (two goals, two assists), eight penalty minutes and is a minus-two.

Sasson, a native of Birmingham, Michigan has had a pretty successful stint in the National Hockey League so far, putting up four assists in nine games in Vancouver so far.

As for Mark Friedman, he's skated in two games for Vancouver and has been limited to just eight down in the AHL with Abbotsford due to a head injury that sent him to hospital.

Puck drop for tomorrow's game against the Boston Bruins is set for 7 pm PT and can be viewed across the country on Sportsnet and CBC as part of Hockey Night in Canada.
