The Vancouver Canucks season continued to slide off the rails with a 5-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night, officially kicking off a new losing streak less than a week after ending a 4 game skid.

Beyond the Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller drama, injuries to key players and lackluster play from just about everyone not named Quinn Hughes - the team simply hasn't been much fun to watch.
In an article for Vancouver is Awesome, Daniel Wagner writes that Canucks fans aren't getting a good product specifically on home ice, where they've posted an abysmal 7-9-6 record.
The Canucks also sit dead last in scoring chances, second last in high danger scoring chances, and in the bottom half for expected goals, which points towards their poor stretch being deserved, and not strictly bad luck.
Under Rick Tocchet, fans have become accustomed to high-event hockey, but this year the Canucks have been unable to bring that exciting brand of hockey, and consequently have struggled to score goals.

Vancouver Canucks gouging fans despite poor results

Whether the Canucks are good or bad, one thing generally remains consistent - ticket prices will be absurdly high.
The team made headlines for their student "discount" tickets which were being sold for $179.
Resale tickets for the same game were reportedly being sold for roughly a third of that price.
A tough price to pay for what has been an underwhelming product this season.
