Vancouver Canucks fans are angry enough at the state of the hockey team and their inability to win games, but now they are outraged for a whole different reason, for ballooning ticket prices for students.
In 2019, the Vancouver Canucks introduced an affordable ticket program for local university students where on select home games students will have the chance to see games for a low price.
The deal is available for regular or regular-plus games - the team's two lowest price categories.
The deal for students are starting as low as $30 for over 12 universities, but, that is no longer the case.
Vancouver Canucks facing major backlash from Student Fans
As the Vancouver Canucks host the Los Angeles Kings tonight, students received a text message to remind them that their is a deal for "student rush tickets", but were shocked at the price they are going for.
The price stated that the tickets were as low as $179, which is almost 5 times the amount they were back in 2019, and fans are absolutely outraged.
Other team's fans have chimed in on the social media post to state that their student tickets are still as low as $50.
Fans are claiming the team is gouging their fans which is completely out of line, especially for the fact they are not winning games.
