Vancouver Canucks rookie star defenseman Victor Mancini has broken his silence for the first time since being traded by the New York Rangers and reveals if there is any bad blood with his former team.
Victor Mancini has nothing but love for the New York Rangers
Although being a top prospect for the Rangers, Mancini was still included in the trade, but he revealed to Peter Baugh of The Athletic that he only has love for his former team and loved every second he got to be a part of the Rangers organization.
«So many good memories,» Mancini said of his time with the Rangers, via Peter Baugh of The Athletic. «They helped allow me to reach my potential. They gave me a shot, and I think I took advantage of it.»
According to Baugh, Mancini has an emotional reunion against New York, going out for a freinds dinner with former teammates Matt Rempe and Adam Edström showing the friendships that he had with the Rangers remain strong.
So far with the Canucks, Mancini has been in and out of the lineup, appearing in 8 games for the Canucks where he's only recorded two points but showing lots of promise as being a top d-man in the league for years to come.
