The Canucks showed up to play on Thursday when they collected a 4-2 win against the Avalanche at the Rogers Arena. Though a particular sequence is retaining attention since it led to a goal

The Canucks were on the PowerPlay, Andrew Cogliano tried to rim the puck from behind the net, but fortunately for the Canucks. The referee stood in the way and prevented Cogliano's clearing attempts, which made it much easier for the Canucks to recover the puck and ultimately ended up with the puck in the net a few seconds later.

Canucks were celebrating and Cogliano absolutely lost it at the referee who showed no patience sending him to box with a 10-minute misconduct penalty with little to no explanation. Cogliano slammed his stick and offered the referee, Michael Markovic, a few words. Which must not have sounded good if it resulted in a penalty.

The Canucks went on to score 3 more in order to capture a hard fought win over the defending champs. While this goal may have altered the game's pace, Cogliano tantrum is understandable.
