Monday night the Vancouver Canucks made a interesting trade with the Buffalo Sabres, sending defenceman Riley Stillman to the Sabres for prospect Josh Bloom.
This was a solid trade for the Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin as Bloom has been tearing it up in the Ontario Hockey League as a member of the Brantford Battalion. The 19-year-old already has 19 goals and 40 assists in 40 games this season.
This trade also impressed Vancouver Canucks journalist Rob Williams who called this tradea steal for the Vancouver Canucks. Williams than shared Bloom's recent goal in a game vs the Flint Firebirds.
The Canucks gave up Riley Stillman, who they acquired for Jason Dickinson and a second round pick earlier this season in an attempt to dump some salary. Stillman had been horrendous since arriving in Vancouver and it's truly a miracle that they were able to send him somewhere else.
