LATEST | Head Coach Rick Tocchet speaks on the team's progression
The Vancouver Canucks were working hard at practice after Saturday's 5-2 loss in Detroit. The score didn't reflect the game as Red Wings goaltender Ville Husso outplayed Canucks Spencer Martin with the Canucks outshooting the Red Wings 34-25.
Sunday after practice Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet discussed how he's felt the team has improved over the past 6 games that Tocchet has been behind the Canucks bench.
"We'll I just think there's another level of fitness, I think our skating legs, you know just the pace. The one thing I got to real positive of the last 6 games I've been here is our teams have changed very well, we have a stat people might not care, but we've out-chanced the other team. Which is good I think if you look at our 3rd Period and most of our games we've out-chanced our teams that's a lot of juice so, I just think there's another level of fitness, I'm not saying people are out of shape I just think there's another level of fitness."
The team has definitely taken a new direction and shown improvement in lots of areas. Up to this point, do you like the work he's done behind the Canucks' bench?
