MAJOR | Official announcement regarding Connor Bedard and Arturs Silovs
Connor Bedard was phenomenal at every level he performed at this year and won multiple awards. Viewed as the potential number-one pick in the upcoming draft, the centerman will have another trophy to add to his shelves.
The IIHF issued an official statement announcing that Connor Bedard had won their Player of the Year award. He gathered 31.6% of the votes; the Canucks prospect Arturs Silovs fell short a few votes in 2nd Place with 19.6% of the votes:
''Connor Bedard caps off his incredible junior season with the title of IIHF Male Player of the Year!
From his record-breaking #WorldJuniors run to earning all of the

's top awards, here's why he earned the top honour: ''
Even though Silovs didn't win enough votes to take the award home with him, the bronze medal he and his team brought back home is worth a lot more.
The netminder is now working out with one goal in mind; the Canucks goaltending is unclear as to who will back Demko.
