The Western Hockey League made a stunning announcement revealing they have suspended four players from the Moose Jaw Warriors team indefinitely without any prior notice or why these players were suspended for.
News coming down from the WHL that Moose Jaw Warriors players Connor Ungar, Max Wanner, Lynden Lakovic & Marek Howell have been suspended indefinitely for "possible violation of team rules and the WHL Standard of Conduct policies."
In a release, the WHL says the four players have been suspended indefinitely pending an investigation. Though it does not specify if the Warriors or WHL will be completing the said investigation, or what the violation of team rules & policies was. The reasoning believed they didn't officially reveal the cause of the suspension is due to a couple of the players are minors. The Moose Jaw Warriors are hoping to be a Memorial Cup contender with a 33-16-0-3 record.
Max Wannner was a 7th-round selection by the Oilers back in 2021. He's already on his entry-level contract and is expected to begin his professional career as early as next August.
