REMINISCING | Kevin Bieksa KO's Radko Gudas with wild Superman punch (video)
At some point in time, fights weren't just a prominent part of the game, but very much a part of the entertainment in a hockey game. Up to this day, the majority of fans still feel that fighting holds a place in the fame, since it gives the players the ability to police themselves during the game, therefore making the game ''safer''.
Long-time and beloved former Canuck Kevin Bieksa was never one to shy away from a fight. At some point, he even developed a Superman punch that catches players off-guard giving him an undisputable advantage. Not too long ago, he caught Radko Gudas with it and sent him to bed:
Kevin Bieksa is still seen on TV as he holds a job as a TV host. Known to be a great leader and excellent culture setter, shouldn't the Canucks try and have him around the team a little more?
Over his career, Bieksa took part in 808 NHL games, 597 of which were with the Canucks who had made him their 5th Round Selection in 2001. He was a part of the 2011 roster that went to the Stanley Cup final.
