TRADE MARKET | Quick disgruntled with the trade and Columbus is already working a trade to a contender
Since then, Quick has expressed his feelings and disappointment regarding the situation. The aging netminder felt he could still help a team toward the playoffs and the latest reports show that a deal is already in the works.
Frank Seravalli revealed that the Golden Knights had engaged with the Jackets to acquire the 2-time Stanley Cup Winner:
''Hearing #VegasBorn are well down the track on trade talk to acquire Jonathan Quick from #CBJ»
Obviously, the salary cap has to come into play, but per the puck pedia's report, the Knights have plenty of alternatives to work their way around it to acquire the netminder.
It would make sense for the Knights to pursue a netminder even though
Logan Thompson has been stellar since the beginning of the season. A veteran backup could go a long way in helping a young and inexperienced netminder.
Quick has expressed his will to keep on playing even after his current deal. He'll be on the market on July 1st.
