There weren't a lot of dry eyes in the building on Friday night in Toronto as Leafs' legend Borje Salming made an appearance alongside his former teammate Darryl Sittler. Salming, diagnosed with ALS back in August of this year, made his way to centre ice and saluted the Toronto Crowd with a helping hand from Sittler, who himself was overcome with emotion at the sight & sound of the Scotiabank Centre faithful's standing ovation for their Swedish trailblazer.

It wasn't lost on the likes of William Nylander who I am sure heard stories of Salming from his Dad Michael, as the second generation Swedish star was seen wiping his cheeks after the ceremony.

Salming suited up for the Leafs from 1973-1989, spending 10 seasons with Darryle Sittler, he of course famous for his 10 Point game back in 1976 vs the Boston Bruins.

I know we don't love Toronto out here, and don't even get me started on Boston. I know we want to win 10-0 today & I share that sentiment. But for just that moment, I will admit I was pretty misty after watching that video.

Best wishes to Borje & his family as he continues his battle with ALS.
