LATEST | Pair of former Blackhawks to be inducted into B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame
The British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame is set to have their induction weekend and a pair of three-time Stanley Cup champions are among those who are being enshrined.
After having no inductions in 2021 and 2022 due to COVID-19, former Blackhawks defencemen Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook are set to enter the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame.
"Former Chicago Blackhawks players Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook will be inducted together into the British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame this weekend." Daniel Greenberg said.
The duo of Keith and Seabrook played alongside each other in Chicago for nearly 15 years and over 1,000 games, where they won three Stanley Cups
in 2010, 2013, and 2015. They also played together on the international stage, including at the 2010 Winter Olympics, capturing the gold medal.
Seabrook, a native of Richmond, B.C., played 1,114 games in the NHL, all with Chicago, where he recorded 464 points (103 goals, 361 assists), 661 penalty minutes and was a plus-111. He went on to skate in 123 Stanley Cup Playoff games, tallying 59 points (20 goals, 39 assists).
Keith, who played two seasons in the BCHL before heading to the NCAA, appeared in 1,256 career games across 17 seasons with Chicago and Edmonton. In those 1,256 games, Keith had 646 points (106 goals, 540 assists), 675 penalty minutes and was a plus-159. In 151 playoff games, he added 91 points (19 goals, 72 assists). During his career, he won the Norris Trophy twice and the Conn Smythe Trophy once.
