Jamie Benn sends his stick to another player's face after he was illegally hit
Pre-season his nearing its end, and everybody is ready for some meaningful action. Yesterday, Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby threw the gloves down after a Sabres sent a hit he didn't like, and now Jamie Benn was caught sending his stick to Joel Erikson Ek's face.
JAMIE BENN: A FIRST TIME OFFENDER?
One could argue that this is accidental, but Jamie Benn has made himself known (he's been suspended for it) to use his stick as a weapon. Joel Erikson Ek collided with the Stars' captain, and the sequence led to Benn's stick ending up in the Wild player's face; here's the sequence:
Things kept heating up in this one, and Jamie Benn eventually went for a dance with the veteran Patrick Maroon.
The Wild ultimately won this matchup as they were up 4 to none; Jamie Benn ended the game with 9 minutes in the penalty box.
