Minnesota Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson scores 18th goalie goal in NHL history against the St. Lous Blues.

Watch Here:

With a 4-1 win over the Blues, Filip Gustavsson made 27 saves and added a little prove of history to his mantle piece. The net minder scored an empty-net goal as the Minnesota Wild snapped a 2-game losing streak.

Other than Gustafson, the most recent goalie to have scored an empty net goal from his own crease was back in November 2023. In total there have been 18 total goalie goals in NHL history, but only 10 of those came at the hands of a deliberate shot on the opposing teams net.

As you can see from the announcer voice and the reaction of his teammates, a goalie goal is a rare feat and only makes great watching for the viewer!
