LATEST | 15-years veteran announces his retirement from the NHL
There comes a time in Athlete's life where the body isn't as strong as it once was and the mind isn't has focused. Some of them manage to keep going for a longer period, but everyone of them has to call it a day at some point.
After 15 years, 9 NHL teams and 844 games, Nate Thompson has officially called it a career. The veteran made the announcement earlier while he was on a podcast:
An energetic bottom 6 centerman, Thompson was a 2003 6th round selection from the Bruins. He ended up playing 4 games with the Bruins. Thompson suited up for 30 AHL games this year.
