Adam Gaudette is returning to Canada next season, joining up with one of his former teams for a second time.

On Tuesday, the Ottawa Senators announced that they've signed unrestricted free agent forward Adam Gaudette to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2023-24 season. Gaudette's contract will see him earn $775,000 at the NHL level and $450,000 in the American Hockey League.
"Roster update: The #Sens have signed forward Adam Gaudette to a one-year, two-way contract ($775k/$450k for '24-'25)." The Senators said.

Aside from two NHL games last season in St. Louis, Gaudette has spent the last three seasons in the American Hockey League where he led in goals during 2023-24 while with the Springfield Thunderbirds.
The Braintree, Massachusetts native was drafted in the fifth round, 149th overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in 2015 and went on to spent parts of four seasons in the NHL with them, recording 52 points in 153 games.
Last season in the American Hockey League with Springfield, Gaudette put up 71 points (44 goals, 27 assists), 51 penalty minutes and was a plus-eight.
Gaudette gives the Ottawa Senators a depth scoring option in their bottom six forward group, but he'll likely also see time with their American Hockey League affiliate too, the Belleville Senators.
