It's confirmed for Auston Matthews and the Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs will have to survive another day without their star Auston Matthews, as the centre has been rule out of game 6 by Head Coach Sheldon Keefe.
Matthews has been recovering from an undisclosed illness, that many are speculating could actually be an injury.
The Rocket Richard trophy winner missed game 5, and skated only with injured forward Bobby McMann on Thursday before the rest of the team skated.
Head Coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed after practice that Matthews wouldn't be suiting up tonight.
The Leafs were already forced to fight through their first three games without William Nylander, and managed to win game 5 without Matthews.
They'll be looking for their first home win of the playoffs as they try to extend this series to seven games, where they can only hope Matthews will be healthy enough to play.
