LATEST | Canucks make an announcement regarding the legendary Roberto Luongo
The Canucks made it known just a year ago that Roberto Luongo would be inducted into the team's Ring of Honour.
Building up on that, the team announced earlier that in light of the upcoming event. They'd be releasing highlights of his career in Vancouver and sharing his successes:
''Introducing #OneWeekOf1!
For the week leading up to the Roberto Luongo Ring of Honour induction ceremony, we will be sharing highlights of his career in Vancouver and celebrating his success.''
Viewed by many as the top goaltender to ever dress up for the Canucks, Luongo was part of the edition that came as close as it gets. In 2011 the Canucks lost during the Stanley Cup Finals to the Bruins and Luongo was leading the charge between the pipes.
19 years in the NHL and 1044 starts, Luongo elected to play the best eight years of his career in Vancouver and he's getting recognize for it.
