LATEST | Filip Hronek & Quinn Hughes make franchise history on Friday night
Vancouver Canucks defenceman Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek have been arguably one of, if not the best, pairing in the National Hockey League this season.
Hughes leads the Canucks in points with 32 in 21 games, while Hronek has 20, also in 21 games.
There's no doubt that both Hughes and Hronek are well on their way to smashing their career highs in points, which are 76 and 38, respectively.
On Friday night, during Vancouver's game against the Seattle Kraken, the duo of Hughes and Hronek created a bit of history.
With Hughes' assist last night, it marked the first time in franchise history that the Canucks have had two separate defencemen with a point streak of 10 or more games.
"With Hughes now extending his point streak to 10 games, this is the first time in franchise history that the Canucks have had two defencemen post point streaks of 10 games or more in the same season." Trevor Beggs of Daily Hive said.
To see what the pairing of Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek have done so far this season is remarkable and it's definitely going to be exciting to see how both players do from now until April as the Canucks look to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2020.
