LATEST | Trevor Linden reflects on his time with the Canucks and points out precisely what he wanted
Trevor Linden was one of the most influential personality within the Canucks' organization for quite some time. He spent the majority of his playing career in Vancouver and was even brought back later on as the President of Hockey Ops, but his departure from the management group caused quite a shock.
STILL NOT OVER HIS SEPARATION WITH THE TEAM?
Whilst on Sportsnet650 last night, the former Director of Hockey Ops reflected on his time with the team's management group. The former captain has a very specific message for the team's ownership, clearly it never went through as Linden never had the opportunity to see the end of it:
'My biggest message to ownership was... listen, i worked for them. I wanna see a vision. I wanna see a plan. I wasn't there for a job, I didn't need a job. '
Linden was a beloved member of the Canucks community, there are many fans up to this day that still feels like he should've been given a better opportunity. His recent comments may be an indication that Linden still holds remorse over the chance he never had.
