The Ducks took a home run swing earlier this week when they acquired the former fifth overall pick Cutter Gauthier. Gauthier had made it known that he wanted no part of the Flyers future and the Ducks had what it took to make that deal happen.

DUCKS ABOUT TO DISCUSS STAR CENTERMAN

The Ducks will end up with a lot of up and coming skill forwards and more precisely, centermen. Darren Dreger dropped a bombshell in regards to the Ducks suggesting that some teams had stated that the young star centerman Trevor Zegras could be in play.

'I've had a couple of teams suggest Zegras could be in play.

Knowing Pat Verbeek (Ducks' GM), it makes sense''

Zegras could very well be in the Canucks sightings, not only are they buyers for young players. They could also use another high-end centerman. Zegras was picked ninth in the 2019 draft, just one rank before the Canucks chose Vasily Podkolzin, some even thought that he was the player they wanted all along.

The Canucks would definitely have to pay premium assets to sign Zegras, the young centerman has collected 61 and 65 points in the last two seasons and his signed for the two upcoming seasons at a $5.75M cap hit.
