The Vancouver Canucks play their final game before the NHL's trade deadline tonight at Rogers Arena and it could be the last time we see Brock Boeser as a member of the organization.

With less than 48 hours to go until the National Hockey League's trade deadline for the 2024-25 season, action is beginning to pick up, with Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser reportedly available and could be moved by Friday.

Brock Boeser speaks ahead of potentially his final game as a Vancouver Canuck

Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser met with reporters where he discussed trade rumors involving him, as well as the potential that it could be his last game tonight with the organization.
"Yeah, I'm not really trying to think about that. I honestly have no idea what's going to happen. I'm really just trying to focus on the game tonight. Obviously it might be a little difficult, but I'm going to do the best I can to really dial it in and be prepared to go out there and work hard, be a leader and help our team win a hockey game." Boeser said.

Boeser was also asked about the uncertainty he's facing heading into the trade deadline, especially given that a contract extension between the two sides is extremely unlikely before 12 pm PT on Friday.
"Yeah, every time you have uncertainty it's scary and the unknown is scary. So, obviously there's a little bit of stress involved in that. It's not a great situation, like I said, I'm really just trying to focus on tonight and I'm still here, I'm still on the Canucks and that's my main worry right now." Boeser said.

The 28-year-old also opened up on the possibility that the fans in attendance at Rogers Arena might display their appreciation for him at some point during tonight's game.
"I can't say enough about the fan base and the city. Everyone is so kind to me when I'm just out and about. Everyone's always had my back and supported me and it's something that I really appreciate about this place." Boeser said.
Boeser, a native of Burnsville, Minnesota, has spent his entire career to this point with the Vancouver Canucks after they selected him with the 23rd overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
In 532 games with the Vancouver Canucks, Boeser has 420 points (197 goals, 223 assists), 142 penalty minutes and is a minus-27.
If the Vancouver Canucks decide to trade Brock Boeser by Friday, the organization will be losing not only a great player, but also a true leader as well and it won't be easy to replace him.
However, given the returns we've seen in some trades this week, including the Tampa Bay Lightning giving up two first-round picks in a deal with Seattle for Oliver Bjorkstrand and Yanni Gourde, it might be in the best interest of Patrik Allvin to move him.
It could be an emotional night for Brock Boeser and Vancouver Canucks fans tonight as they take on the Anaheim Ducks for their first game at Rogers Arena in nearly a month. Puck drop is set for 7:30 pm PT on Sportsnet 650.
