The Vancouver Canucks are getting very close to locking up their first playoff berth since 2020 and it would mean that post-season games will be returning to Rogers Arena for the first time since 2015.
On Thursday, the pre-sale began for tickets to the first round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs and it's safe to say that fans are NOT happy with how much it's going to cost them to attend one of the games.
One fan, who received a code to the pre-sale on Ticketmaster revealed that the cheapest ticket to Home Game 1 of the first round is going to cost $266, while for Home Game 2, it's $249. Mind you, these tickets are located in the upper bowl at Rogers Arena.
Meanwhile in the lower bowl, the cheapest tickets during the pre-sale were going for over $400 per game.
It's easy to see both sides of the equation here. For the Canucks and ownership, they want to cash in given the team hasn't played home playoff games in nine years. But from the fans perspective, it's extremely frustrating and disappointing to see how much the tickets are, given that we're in a cost of living crisis in this country.
