Craig Button confirms it for Quinn Hughes
As the season nears its end, there's been an accrued increase in NHL award talks. As expected, the Canucks captain Quinn Hughes is in the middle of every conversation.
We're getting a consensus among analysts and insiders that Quinn Hughes is getting most of the number-one votes in the Norris Trophy runnings. Frank Seravalli and Elliotte Friedman have already stated that he'd be getting their votes, and various other journalists have added to it.
Craig Button was on the Donnie and Dhali show earlier, corroborating Friedman and Seravalli's opinion. Hughes' case for the Norris is getting stronger by the day.
"He is the best defenseman in the NHL; the question is who is #2. I am a voter, and he is getting my 1st place vote. You can not deny his impact on team success."
The Canucks captain has been putting a clinic on display since the season started, and it's not about to stop. Not only has he been the leader in the NHL for points amongst defensemen with 88 through 78, but his +39 goal differential is one of the league's best.
Earlier this season, comments suggested that Quinn Hughes' game on 200 feet needed perfecting. Fair to say that after a record-breaking season, the analysts will no longer ignore the Canucks' number 43.
