Elias Pettersson Makes His Feelings Known Regarding the Vancouver Canucks Fan Base
After Elias Pettersson finally broke his lengthy goal slump against the Minnesota Wild on Friday, Vancouver Canucks fans had an amazing and supportive reaction to it, which he clearly appreciated greatly.
It has been a hard year for more reasons that one for Elias Pettersson, going through drama with team mate
J.T. Miller, dealing with injuries, but most of all struggling to produce offensively.
Now that Miller is no longer with the team, his production has not increased either, so when he scored, it was a big deal.
Vancouver Canucks let Elias Pettersson know how the feel about him breaking his scoring slump
In the Canucks 3-1 win over the Wild, he scored a signature one-timer from the top of the dot, something that fans have not seen in a long-time.
Elias Pettersson makes a couple nice moves. Somehow the puck stays out of the Minnesota net.
This goal now officially breaks his 16-game slump, which has become a serious topic of conversation since he makes $11.6 million a season.
The Vancouver Canucks crowed, who have been on his back at times really showed their overwhelming support for him after he scored, giving him huge cheers and support for finding the back of the net.
After the game concluded, he expressed how it felt hearing that from the Vancouver fans, considering the attention on him.
"No, it means a lot. Just love from the fans. I never take it for granted and yeah, I liked the chants." Pettersson said.
He doubled down and owned up to other plays that he wanted to have back, which has only generated more support from the fan base.

There has been speculation that EP40 is currently battling injuries which has effected his ability to perform at an elite level.
This game he seemed the most "himself", making plays and putting the effort fans are used to seeing in seasons past.
