Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz is set to miss tonight's game against the Vancouver Canucks after a hospital visit on Saturday night in Edmonton.

The Vancouver Canucks are set to take on the Dallas Stars, who acquired Mikko Rantanen on Friday, tonight at Rogers Arena and Peter DeBoer's group will be missing a key player on their roster.
Roope Hintz, who is currently fourth in points and tied for second in goals on the Dallas Stars, suffered an injury on Saturday night in a scary incident which required a visit to a hospital in Edmonton.

Nearly halfway through the second period, with Dallas down 4-1, Roope Hintz was at the top of the circle attempting to block a shot from Oilers forward Adam Henrique when the puck rode up and caught him in the face.
Hintz immediately fell to the ice, clutching his face and was being attended to by one of the Stars' trainers before getting up under his own power and going back to the team's locker room.
Dallas Stars head coach Peter DeBoer announced post-game that Roope Hintz was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
"The Stars later ruled him out with an upper-body injury. After the loss, coach Peter DeBoer told reporters Hintz went to hospital for further evaluation and added the hope is it is not serious."

The Stars are continuing their four-game road trip tonight with a stop in Vancouver to face the Canucks and as expected, the team announced that Roope Hintz will not play and that he has flown back to Dallas.
"Roope Hintz flew back to Dallas today. Day-to-day is the label from DeBoer." Brien Rea said on X.
Puck drop for tonight's game against the Dallas Stars, who have former Vancouver Canuck Casey DeSmith between the pipes, is set for 6 pm PT and can be watched across Canada on Sportsnet.
