LATEST | Insider confirms bad news for Elias Lindholm
Rick Tocchet revealed earlier this week that Elias Lindholm had been playing through something. He clearly hasn't been bothered enough by it to take a few games off; however, it's been clear to everyone that it has indeed affected his game.
Lindholm took a maintenance day to try and heal his injury. On Saturday Night headlines earlier, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed the rumours. He confirmed that Lindholm had been playing with an injury over the last little bit, but has no clarity on its degree. He also confirmed that Lindholm had an appointment schedule this week and the Canucks we're hoping for some clarity following that:
Friedman mentions the Canucks hope to get clarity on what's bothering Lindholm at an appointment he has next week.
The injury is being currently being evaluated and managed on a day to day basis.
Lindholm has played good since he joined the Canucks, but his performances have been nowhere near expected. Allvin paid grade A price for a high-end asset and right now, the Canucks are getting a bonafied third centerman's play.
Canucks still have over 10 games left to figure things out, hopefully he'll be back to his best self once comes playoff time!
