The Canucks have made the most significant trade of the NHL season so far, acquiring Elias Lindholm for Kuzmenko, picks, and prospects.

With the high price paid by Vancouver, it's unlikely they will empty the cupboards again, but insiders believe the Canucks could still make some smaller additions to their roster.

Elliotte Friedman said on the Donnie and Dhali show on Monday that with Rutherford running the ship, Canucks' fans should expect more.

When he thinks he can win, he is never satisfied, and he thinks they can win,

The insider says if the Canucks can be made even a little bit better by a trade, Rutherford will push for it to be done. He states while it's unlikely they'll be involved with the most prominent remaining players available, it doesn't mean the team won't add.

Friedman specifically pointed to defensive depth as a possible addition for the Canucks.
