NHL issues an official statement on Arturs Silovs
The NHL have issued a statement recognizing Canucks goaltender Arturs Silovs for joining the history books with the team.
The recently turned 23 year old goalie stopped 20 shots in a Sunday afternoon win over the Anaheim Ducks, it was his first appearance in the NHL in over a year.
The NHL shared that with the win, Silovs became just the 2nd goalie in Canucks history to win at least four of his first six starts in the league.
The young goalie helped Vancouver reach the 100 point mark for the 10th time in franchise history and first time in nearly a decade.
He looks like a player who could push for a spot with the team next season!
