The Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers have split the first two games of their second round series and for Rick Tocchet's squad, they haven't looked as good as we know they can be, despite winning Game 1.
With a crucial Game 3 taking place tomorrow night in Edmonton, Alberta, Rick Tocchet wants his team to re-take the series lead and it appears that he is considering making some line-up changes.
According to Dan Murphy of Sportsnet, Tocchet said that he may sit forward Nils Hoglander and replace him in the line-up with one of Nils Aman, Vasily Podkolzin or Linus Karlsson. Tocchet also mentioned that they're considering putting defenceman Noah Juulsen in for Game 3.
Hoglander, 23, has appeared in all eight of Vancouver's games during the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs where he's put up one assist, four shots on goal, two penalty minutes and is a minus-two. The Bocktrask, Sweden native is only averaging 9:41 of ice time per game, so while he isn't playing a lot, it still may be worth making a change for Sunday's contest.
