Vancouver Canucks' Jake DeBrusk Attends Taylor Swift Concert at BC Place After Struggling to Afford Tickets
It's been quite a busy weekend in the City of Vancouver with the Canucks in action and one of the world's biggest singers, Taylor Swift, in town for a trio of concerts at BC Place.
The Vancouver Canucks returned to Rogers Arena on Friday night to kick off a six-game homestand as they took on the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Friday's game was a big one for forward Jake DeBrusk as for the first time in his career, he scored a goal at Rogers Arena.
"I never got one in this building until tonight, and it feels pretty good," DeBrusk said. "It's a kind of a greasy goal. I'm not going to lie; it wasn't a pretty one. But I didn't care how it went in. Just seeing it go across that line was nice."
With the Vancouver Canucks off on Saturday, Jake DeBrusk used this as an opportunity for a night out with his girlfriend, as the duo attended last night's Taylor Swift concert at BC Place, after telling Canucks Army a few days ago that ticket prices were too insane.
" wish I could go to this one, but the tickets are just so insane. And honestly, I got no hookups here," DeBrusk said to Canucks Army's David Quadrelli. "At least in Boston, I was there for a couple of years, so I had people help me out to get some tickets."
Taylor Swift's Era's Tour, which began all the way back on March 17th, 2023, will wrap up tonight, with Vancouver being her final stop.
It's expected to be busy in around the downtown core, especially outside Rogers Arena after the Canucks' game this afternoon against the Tampa Bay Lightning, so plan accordingly, with the team advising fans to take public transit as parking will be limited.
Puck drop for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning is set for 1 pm PT and can be viewed across the country on Sportsnet.
