As the Vancouver Canucks are reportedly looking to trade defenseman Carson Soucy, Tyler Myers has commented on the news that his blue line partner is not on the trade block.
The Vancouver Canucks have been busy as of late making trades left right and center, most notably sending J.T Miller to the New York Rangers for Filip Chytil, Vinctor Mancini and a first-round pick.
It look like general manager Patrik Allvin is not making moves just yet.
Tyler Myers opens up on Carson Soucy being placed on the trade block and being healthy scratched
On Tuesday, NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed that the Vancouver Canucks have made Carson Soucy available for trade ahead of the NHL's deadline in 31 days.

As his defense partner for most of the year, veteran and leader Tyler Myers has commented on what Carson Soucy means to the Vancouver Canucks despite being healthy scratched and being made available to NHL clubs.

It is clear that despite his lack of production and inability to stay a constant in the starting lineup, Soucy remains a well-respected leader in the Canucks locker room.
Even with the arrival of Marcus Pettersson, the Canucks are still more than than other teams when it comes to their depth on the blue line.
It would be a risky move to just trade when the return for Soucy would be lacklaster.
They might as well put him on waivers and keep him a depth player in the AHL in case of injury, especially if they Canucks are expecting to make a push in the playoffs.
